The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) provides the framework for educating and nurturing children from birth to age five, establishing the learning, development, and care standards required to give every child a strong foundation.
At IFBS, the EYFS framework guides our classroom design, daily planning, and collaborative partnerships with families to ensure every child thrives during their early years.

Every child is a competent learner from birth, and we celebrate each child's own pace, personality and potential.
Children learn to be strong and independent through warm, secure relationships with the adults and peers around them.
Our classrooms and outdoor spaces are designed to spark curiosity and support learning through play.
Children develop and learn at different rates, and our teaching adapts to reflect the different ways in which children grow.
The EYFS framework is built around seven areas of learning, split into three prime areas and four specific areas.
